In the Meadow
Hello all!
It’s been a busy week at Synergy! We held our first camp of the summer: In The Meadow, a creative-movement camp with Mia and Kaylie. We spent the week learning about meadow creatures and exploring the fundamentals of ballet.
We are launching a new summer program: Driveway Dance! Our team of teachers will come to your neighborhood and teach an outdoor class for you and your friends. For more information about the program, go to www.synergydance.org/driveway-dance or email kaylie@synergydance.org.
A gentle reminder that cloth masks are required for all students and parents who enter the studio. We are recommending that students have masks that tie behind the head. This style of mask makes it easier for students to unmask to dance while keeping the mask physically on their person.
Upcoming at Synergy:
This coming week, we are offering classes in Lyrical and Hip Hop (schedule below). Space in these classes is extremely limited—please email Kaylie (kaylie@synergydance.org) to reserve your spot in class.
Ballet 4 with Lily, Monday 4:15-5:30 (note: we need at least 5 students in order to run this class)
Hip Hop 3/4 with Amy, Wednesday 4-5
Lyrical 3/4 with Kaylie, Thursday 3:45-5:15
Lyrical 5 with Lily, Thursday 5:45-7 (note: we need at least 5 students in order to run this class)
Hip Hop 5 with Owen, Thursday 7:15-8:30
- Synergy’s next camp is our Choreography Workshop, June 29-July 3. There are still spots available! Email Mia (mia@synergydance.org) to reserve your spot. The workshop is geared toward students ages 12+.
- The Plank Challenge is nearing its end! On Day 100 (Thursday, June 25) we will be planking in the field behind Synergy, and we would love to have you join us! Gathering sizes are still limited, so please let us know ahead of time if you plan on coming. Wear your Plank Team T-shirts!
- We are considering adding additional ballet and/or lyrical intensives in late July and August. Let Mia know if you would be interested.
Any questions about Synergy’s COVID-19 policies and procedures may be directed to Kaylie at kaylie@synergydance.org.
Stay safe, and keep dancing!
